North East Derbyshire District Council will be upgrading the skatepark in Killamarsh as part of a £190k investment to bring the facility to life for the community in what is set to be a fantastic overhaul of the park.

Thanks to the Safer Streets funding and UK Shared Prosperity Funding, the £190k investment will see the park completely enhanced with new surfaces, re-cladding and new equipment and ramps installed for the whole community to enjoy.

As part of the works, fencing will be renewed and the entrance gate relocated.

Work is set to start in October and finishing in December 2023.

North East Derbyshire District Council Cabinet Member for the Environment, Cllr Steve Pickering said, “We can’t wait to get started on the upgrades to the skate park for our community to enjoy in Killamarsh.

The works will see the park transformed and is yet another example of how we are investing into our communities to provide quality services and equipment for everyone to enjoy.”
